The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce today announced the five finalists for its annual Pressure Chamber pitch contest, to be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 at the Overture Center as part of Forward Festival.

All finalists are Madison-based: AmebaGone, Breathe For Change, DataChat, GymDandy and LUM. AmebaGone and DataChat also were finalists for the Governor’s Business Plan Contest.

Similar to past years, the winner of the competition will receive a trip to Palo Alto, Calif., in October for meetings with top Silicon Valley investment firms.

“Greater Madison is ground level for the next big thing, and the innovative startups who will compete at this year’s Pressure Chamber prove it,” Chamber President Zach Brandon said in a statement. “Following the recent acquisition of inaugural champion Fishidy and other past Pressure Chamber winners having closed successful funding (rounds), we look forward to experiencing even more of what makes this the region’s apex live pitch contest.”
