The Amy & Jocelyn Gannon Foundation recently named the five women who are recipients of this year’s Amy Award.

According to the foundation’s website, the Amy Awards honor Doyenne Group founder Amy Gannon, who died tragically in 2019. The awards embody the work she fiercely championed, which was uplifting others and connecting them to the people or resources they need to thrive.

The 2023 recipients are:

• The Entrepreneur Ally: Jara Rios-Rodriguez
• The Informed Illustrator: T.L. Luke
• The Empowered Healer: Venus Washington-Ross
• The Safety Sensei: Ali Trevino-Murphy
• The Connector: Nina Gehan

Each recipient received $2,000 that goes toward their business.

The Amy Awards started in 2020.
