The Doyenne Group has announced that its first Doyenne 5x5x5 Breakfast featuring female-led ventures will be held on Wednesday, August 27 at the Madison Club.
“We want to see women-led ventures come out in force during the Forward Technology Festival to show the community how many of us there are and how we support each other,” Heather Wentler, executive director of the Doyenne Group, said in a statement. “The Doyenne 5x5x5 Breakfast will showcase some up-and-coming entrepreneurs. The breakfast will bring people together to network and get to know who else is dedicated to women’s entrepreneurship in Wisconsin.”
The event, organized by the Doyenne Group and Groundwork Consulting, will give ventures the opportunity to present five minute pitches, with one group being selected to receive a $5,000 seed grant.
Mixed male and female ventures with a female majority are also encouraged to apply, according to a release. Eligible ventures must be registered in Wisconsin, applicable to regional, national or international markets and demonstrate innovation.
Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, July 9, on the Doyenne Group website. The top five ventures will be announced on July 11.
