Propeller Health is partnering with Orion Corporation, a digital therapeutics company, to connect its Easyhaler line of inhalers for asthma and COPD to Propeller’s digital medicine platform.

“This partnership with Orion is another significant step toward reducing the burden of chronic respiratory disease for people around the world,” Propeller Health CEO David Van Sickle said in a statement.

According to a release, Easyhaler products will connect to Propeller through a small, custom-built sensor that attaches to the inhaler and pairs with a mobile app.

Development of the sensor will begin this year, with clinical trials and commercial rollout to follow.
