Foxconn is taking applications for its second annual Smart Cities Smart Futures Competition, the organization recently announced.
As previously reported, the competition will commit up to $1 million over three years (beginning last year) to encourage students, staff and faculty at Wisconsin’s public and private colleges and universities to develop “smart future” proposals.
According to the competition website, submissions should follow one of seven categories: Mobility, Energy/Sustainability, Building/Infrastructure, Safety/Healthcare, Agri Tech and Advanced Manufacturing.
The deadline for entries is Oct. 20 and can be done online.
Winners will be announced Dec. 12 at an awards ceremony. Four teams from the University of Wisconsin won the inaugural competition.
