Exact Sciences is one of four organizations to participate in Gov. Tony Evers’ new public-private partnership to increase Wisconsin’s laboratory testing capacity for COVID-19, the governor announced recently.
According to a release, in addition to Exact Sciences, the new partnership will include laboratory support from Marshfield Clinic Health System, Promega and UW Health, along with the Wisconsin Clinical Lab Network.
“Our incredible teams are working around the clock to bring up the ability to support our state’s healthcare workers, first responders and patients affected by COVID-19,” Exact Sciences CEO Kevin Conroy said in a statement. “We are repurposing some of our equipment and reconfiguring areas of our laboratory space to help scale up Wisconsin’s COVID-19 testing capabilities.”
With the new partnership, the average of 1,500-2,000 COVID-19 tests per day is expected to double.
