DataChat announced today that it closed a $4 million seed funding round.
According to a release, the company plans to use the funds to further scale its team and customer base.
“We’re building a technology that represents the future of how people get insights from their data,” DataChat CEO Jignesh Patel said in a statement. “It’s a sophisticated technology that cuts across multiple disciplines in computer science, including data science and AI. We needed smart money to fuel our vision, and this round does exactly that.”
The round was led by WRVI Capital and Nepenthe Capital, with participation from individual investors from Google and Palo Alto Networks.
DataChat’s Conversational Intelligence platform helps businesses obtain insights from their data through chatting with the platform without the need for coding experience.
DataChat won the IT category in the 2018 Governor’s Business Plan Contest.
