Chamber Visits Chicago’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

by Brian Lee

Sometimes innovation can be sparked from inspiration.

The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce announced that it’s hosting members of the startup community, the Chamber board of directors, the Chamber’s small business advisory council and other business and civic leaders on a trip to Chicago today.

“Chicago is emerging as a model for cross-sector collaboration that results in the creation of jobs, community wealth and prosperity,” Zach Brandon, president of the Chamber, said in a statement. “This trip, and the people who have committed time and money in order to participate, reinforces that everyone–every business, every civic leader, every investor–has a role in innovation and how it advances a community.”

The group of 60 will be visiting the coworking space 1871, meeting with accomplished venture capitalist and entrepreneur J.B. Pritzker and touring collaborative workspace Catapult Chicago.
