SHINE Medical Technologies has completed exterior construction of its medical isotope production facility and made it weathertight for protection, the company announced today.
According to a release, the facility can withstand tornadoes, airplane crashes and other catastrophic events. With the weathertight milestone, installation of SHINE’s high-tech process equipment can now begin.
“This milestone marks a leveling-up for our team, which includes our internal staff, but also all those who helped do the work in the field,” SHINE CEO Greg Piefer said in a statement. “I am incredibly proud of the grit, dedication and skill of all those involved as we worked together to tackle complicated problems in challenging conditions.”
SHINE also announced Dr. Jean Rogers, an environmental, social and governance expert, and Tamanna Bembenek, who has broad experience in medical devices and radiopharmaceuticals, have been appointed to the board of directors.
