Beyond Words Productions won the annual Doyenne Group’s 5x5x5 pitch event, held virtually Wednesday during Forward Festival, and received a $5,000 seed grant.

The Madison-based company, which was founded by Jamie Perez, creates heartfelt and emotional video storytelling for businesses and nonprofits. The funds will be used to purchase video equipment and hire freelance help.

The other competitors were Chlobis Water, Myva Rocks, Pasture and Plenty and Urban Cultural Arts.

Similar to past years, per the contest rules, all entrants were Wisconsin-based ventures that are majority-owned by a woman or women.

Betterbin won the 2021 contest.
