SixLine Semiconductor, a company that works with conductive materials for wireless devices and computing, won the 2023 Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest, part of the annual Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference held Wednesday and Thursday at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee.
“The use of carbon nanotubes for electronics and other uses is something of a ‘Holy Grail’ in technology, and SixLine Semiconductor is doing what it can to grasp the goal,” Wisconsin Technology Council President Tom Still said in a statement.
Based in Middleton, SixLine Semiconductor, which also won the Advanced Manufacturing category, is seeking to commercialize carbon nanotubes to extend Moore’s Law and enable high-frequency analog circuits critical to future generations of electronics. It was co-founded by Katy Jinkins and Michael Arnold in 2022.
The other category winners were WorkShift (Business Services), IQDecide (Information Technology) and Soul Mobility (Life Sciences).
