Cellular Dynamics International announced recently that it will supply the Nestlé Institute of Health Sciences SA (NIHS) with its iCell and MyCell lines for nutritional research.

“The ongoing work and this long-term supply agreement with NIHS demonstrate the utility and broad applicability of our iCell and MyCell Products,” CDI CEO Bob Palay said in a statement. “This supply agreement with NIHS adds nutritional research as yet another field that will benefit from CDI’s products and expertise.”

The NIHS provides the scientific base for personalized nutritional solutions that help to protect health or to modify the course of chronic diseases. According to a release, NIHS will use CDI’s lines to develop cellular models that shed light on the molecular mechanisms that govern the progression to chronic diseases such as obesity and diabetes.
