1Director, a SaaS startup servicing funeral homes, announced recently that it closed its pre-seed fundraising round, which was led by RiverPark Ventures.

“Our goal is to bring a fresh perspective to an industry that has long been underserved by innovation,” 1Director Co-Founder and CEO Rianne Lund said in a statement. “Closing this round with support from esteemed investors like RiverPark Ventures and Underdog Labs is a testament to the value and potential of our solution.”

According to a release, the funds will be used to accelerate product development, expand the team and build partnerships with funeral homes across the country.

1Director’s platform streamlines collaborating with families, managing funeral arrangements and handling invoicing and payments.

The company also recently won the National Funeral Directors Association’s Innovation Award.
