Former Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle was elected to the Exact Sciences board of directors, the company announced recently.

Doyle, who currently works with both Foley & Lardner and his own company, Doyle & Boyce Strategies, was named along with Exact Sciences COO Maneesh Arora, while Lionel Sterling was reelected.

“We are pleased to welcome Jim and Maneesh to Exact’s board, and we are grateful for Lionel’s continued service,” Chairman and CEO Kevin Conroy said in a statement. “Jim’s proven leadership, managerial capabilities and deep knowledge of governmental and legal affairs add outstanding depth to the board.”

Exact Sciences also reported a net loss of $19.4 million, or $0.24 a share, for the second quarter of 2014.
