1 Millions Cups, a free weekly gathering that helps to build startup communities, will launch in Madison on Dec. 17 at 100state and meet every Wednesday, organizers announced today.
“Madison has such a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit,” community organizer Sarah Nettie said in a statement.”It only made sense to bring its innovative minds together, and to support and encourage that community through 1 Million Cups.”
According to a release, one or two early-stage startups will present to an audience of mentors, advisers and other entrepreneurs. Each founder presents for six minutes, followed by a 20-minute question-and-answer session with the audience.
1 Million Cups was founded on the idea that entrepreneurs network and gather solutions over a million cups of coffee.
Madison is the second city in Wisconsin (after Milwaukee) to launch the 1 Million Cups and the 68th city in the country.
