The Wisconsin Technology Council today named the 54 entries that have advanced to the semi-final round of the 12th annual Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest.
“Trends reflected in the top 54 entries match up well with Wisconsin’s traditional and emerging strengths,” Wisconsin Tech Council Chair and Co-Founder of CODAworx Toni Sikes said in a statement. “Good ideas come from all high-growth sectors of the economy.”
Madison-based companies in the top 54 include Swicks and CountAbout.
The contestants will now write 1,000-word executive summaries on the core product or service, identifying key competitors and providing key financial data.
The next round will be completed in early April, with the top dozen finalists presenting their business ideas at the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference June 2 at the Alliant Energy Center.
