Whitcomb Technologies Wins ESS Pitch Competition

Whitcomb Technologies, LLC won the 11th annual Elevator Pitch Olympics during the Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium held Thursday at the Monona Terrace.

The Elm Grove, Wis.-based company, which is developing a patented prototype for a helmet to reduce impact force and the potential for concussions, especially in sports, also was the winner of the “People’s Choice” award.

As previously reported, 15 companies had 90 seconds to present to a panel of investor judges, which included Mark Bakken of Health X Ventures, Scott Button of Venture Investors and Bob Wood of Wisconsin Investment Partners, among others.

Second place went to IotaMotion, which is developing a cochlear implant electrode positioning system that enables future electrode advancement without compromising residual natural hearing.
