As Murfie continues to grow online, it continues to grow offline, too.
The music service company that was founded in 2011 completed its short move from 1 S. Pinckney St. to 7 N. Pinckney St. (Suite 300) this week. According to co-founder Preston Austin, the move was needed because of an increase in staff and CDs, as well as for logistical reasons.
“(Staying) on the (Capitol) Square … helps Murfie remain connected to and draw on an increasingly diverse network of downtown and university talent,” Austin said. “The reciprocity with community within easy reach is good for everyone and allows us to retain great people and offer better services, faster.”
Murfie also houses a coworking space known as “Horizon Coworking,” which in its new environment will be able to have four times as many users. The new facilities include a kitchenette, a social lunch bar, two conference rooms, two phone rooms and a variety of meeting space.
