FlashLapse won last week’s Startup Weekend for Education (SWEDU) pitch contest, organizers announced recently.

According to a release, more than 45 participants took part in the three-day event to problem-solve and design education-related startups.

FlashLapse records time lapse photography of biological action in petri dishes. Prizes for the top-three finishers included passes to SXSW-Edu and free membership to 100state.

The pitch contest took place on July 24.
