Applications for the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation’s UpStart winter entrepreneurship program for women and people of color are now being accepted through Nov. 20, organizers recently announced.

The nine-week, free program will begin Tuesday, Jan. 22 and end Tuesday, March 26. The classes are held from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.

According to the website, UpStart connects participants to area professionals and other aspiring entrepreneurs, helps gain skills needed to launch their business and works to establish strategic goals and next steps.
