Atrility Medical, a company focused on cardiac health and improving the lives of patients through advances in medical technology, won the 2021 Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest, part of the annual Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference held virtually Wednesday and today.
“This company is an excellent example of a practitioner noting a problem, devising a solution and working with others within and outside academia to make it as practical and efficient as possible,” Wisconsin Technology Council President Tom Still said in a statement. “It’s really ‘tech transfer’ at its finest.”
Based in Madison, Atrility Medical was founded by Nick Von Bergen, Pete Lukszys, Phil Terrien andĀ Matt Knoespel.
The other category winners were SmartWell in Advanced Manufacturing, eCourt Reporters in Business Services and Nurse Disrupted in Information Technology.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the finalists presented online for the judges.
