Madison Mayor Paul Soglin and Trek Bicycle President John Burke will help Madison B-cycle open the third season of its bike sharing program at a kickoff event at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 at the City-County Building, 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
B-cycle has proved its popularity in town, having quadrupled membership in year two. It’s also adding two stations this year.
“Our goal is to get people on bikes in Madison, and we’re going to continue to work on that,” Claire Hurley, B-cycle manager, said in a statement.
The event will conclude with a ride around the Capitol Square. Trek is sponsoring free, 30-minute trips from March 20 through April 1.
