BioForward announced recently the recipients of its ninth annual Wisconsin Biohealth Awards, which recognize exceptional scientific and business accomplishments within the state’s biohealth industry.
Dr. Thomas Grist, the chair of the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin, earned the Hector F. Deluca Scientific Achievement Award. Meanwhile, Chris Miskel, the CEO and President of Versiti, earned the Wisconsin Biohealth Business Achievement Award.
“These two recipients exemplify and embody what these awards represent,” BioForward CEO Lisa Johnson said in a statement. “It’s an honor to recognize these remarkable individuals for their outstanding achievements for innovation within Wisconsin’s biohealth sector but also underscores Wisconsin’s position as a hub of excellence in both scientific innovation and business leadership.”
Grist and Miskel will be honored during this year’s Wisconsin Biohealth Summit, which takes place Oct. 17 at the Overture Center.
