Mat Falkowski, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, will be presenting his recent work with biotech accelerator Indie Bio from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.
“I … look forward to sharing my experience in startups and helping the next generation of entrepreneurs,” Falkowski, who has been an early employee or founder with five biotech startups, said.
According to Falkowski, the San Francisco-based accelerator provides funding, labs, contacts and mentors to early stage biotech startups.
Indie Bio runs two cycles each year for between 10 to 15 companies. Each company that is chosen receives $250,000 and attends a four month intensive course in which they get their own lab space and have the opportunity to meet different professionals and mentors who can help them turn their ideas into reality.
