The Wisconsin Technology Council has a version of its Governor’s Business Plan contest made just for middle and high school students.
Known as Wisconsin YES!, which stands for Youth Entrepreneurs in Science, the contest strives to help young people learn how science and technology innovations can be developed into solid business plans. Entries are due by 5 p.m. Monday, March 18.
Interested students submit a 250-word idea abstract online, and those who move on to the next round write a more in-depth business plan.
Last year’s winner was Tyler Ebert of D.C. Everest High School in Schofield, who created a plan for Citadel Systems Security, a computer security company.
