BrightStar Wisconsin Foundation announced recently that it ended 2021 by investing $310,000 in Isomark Health and Blue Line Battery.
According to a release, both companies closed their funding rounds following the investment from BrightStar. The amount of each investment was not disclosed.
“What so many people do not realize is that speed and timing (are) almost as important to these early-stage companies as the capital itself,” BrightStar Committee Chair Todd Sobotka said in a statement. “In helping get deals done faster, BrightStar plays a role in not only assisting Wisconsin entrepreneurs but also Wisconsin investors that have committed funds.”
Isomark Health, based in Fitchburg, Wis., is commercializing technology that allows for the pre-symptomatic detection of an infection from a simple exhaled breath.
Blue Line Battery, based in Beloit, Wis., has developed the first modular and reliable lithium-ion battery technology for industrial purposes.
