The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce’s revamped business expo called neXXpo, which previously took place in the spring, is now a part of Forward Festival, organizers announced recently.
The event, along with the Pressure Chamber pitch competition, will run concurrently with the annual Forward Technology Conference, held Aug. 25 at the Monona Terrace.
“It’s the perfect place for these events,” Kevin Little, the Chamber’s managing director of economic development, said. “Forward Fest is a celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship, and innovation is happening throughout our region’s business community. We’re excited to showcase that.”
The expo will run from 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., while the conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Meanwhile, Pressure Chamber will take place from 4:30-6 p.m., and Forward Festival’s regularly scheduled Startup Showcase–itself a pitch competition–will be held from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
“Our expectation is that the Monona Terrace will be packed with hundreds of business people from every sector and size, as well as educators, students and civic leaders all interacting, learning and celebrating together,” Little said. “Combined with Startup Showcase … this is a day that should be held on everyone’s calendar.”
