Making Madison a better place to live is the purpose of a civic hackathon taking place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the Central Library.
The event, called CityHack, is open to the public. Developers from Hardin Design and Development and Bendyworks will be present.
As of Thursday, more than 30 ideas have been submitted, including an interactive map called Factoid that shows where things have happened or are happening in Madison, and an app called Audible Voyeurism that acts as a police scanner for the area.
