Exact Sciences is now an in-network provider of Cologuard with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in five additional states, the organization announced Wednesday.

“As Cologuard’s in-network status grows in 2016, more people gain access to this innovative screening test,” Exact Sciences Chairman and CEO Kevin Conroy said in a statement. “This access gives us more opportunities to find cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages.”

Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri and Wisconsin will now join the 69 percent of Anthem’s 37.6 million members that have Cologuard offered as an in-network service.

Cologuard is the first and only FDA approved noninvasive stool DNA screening test for colorectal cancer.
