CyberNINES has launched to help manufacturers meet federal cybersecurity compliance, the company announced today.
The company is a spin-off of Madison-based IT firm 5NINES. Defense industry expert Scott Singer will serve as the president.
“Our focus is two phased,” Singer said in a statement. “To help small and mid-size manufacturers in Wisconsin and Minnesota that process, transmit or store Controlled Unclassified Information meet mandatory federal government compliance for cybersecurity known as NIST SP 800-171. Also, to guide them through new regulations that are coming.”
According to a release, failure to comply with cybersecurity compliance can result in losing current and future Department of Defense (DoD) work.
