Dane County will be increasing its funding for the second time for its Small Business Pandemic Support Grant Program, from $800,000 to $10.8 million, following the “overwhelming” community interest, the county announced today.
“Community interest in our grant program has been overwhelming since it first launched last month,” Dane County Executive Joe Parisi said in a statement. “We are happy to make this new investment in our partnership with Dane Buy Local to give even more area businesses the funding they need to make ends meet during this unprecedented time.”
According to a release, Dane Buy Local, which is administering the grants, has to date awarded agreements to 297 local businesses totaling more than $890,000.
As previously reported, business owners can fill out a Google form to learn more information and apply. Applications will be taken through June 15.
