The Doyenne Group’s Evergreen Fund is now taking applications through Monday, Nov. 30, the organization announced recently.
According to the Doyenne Group, the fund will offer financial support to businesses in the form of grants ($5,000) and equity investments ($25,000-$50,000).
“If you are women and/or BIPOC-led venture headquartered in Wisconsin seeking investment dollars, please consider applying for funds through the Doyenne Evergreen Fund,” the organization said in a statement. “Doyenne is hoping to award $25,000-$50,000 to 1-2 ventures before the end of 2020.”
Similar to previous years, to be eligible for the fund, a business must have at least 51 percent ownership by women and/or a minority, a Wisconsin headquarters and 51 percent employment in the state. Also, the products and services must show innovation within their industry, and the business must show the potential to scale to a national level.
Other requirements include the company being registered as a C or S Corporation or LLC, have the potential to increase jobs in the state, been in operation for fewer than 10 years and have not received more than $10 million in private equity investment.
