The City of Madison announced today that the Doyenne Group will manage its $600,000 Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development Resource Fund.
The Doyenne Group will add the fund to its existing Evergreen Fund, which now has $1.2 million to support female tech entrepreneurs.
“Doyenne is extremely grateful to the City of Madison for selecting us as the recipient of the Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development Resource Fund,” Executive Director & Co-Founder Heather Wentler said. “These dollars are going to make a huge economic impact within the Madison and beyond community for women and people of color business owners.”
Investments may begin as early as the end of the year, according to Wentler.
The city’s $600,000 is matched by $200,000 investments each from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, WWBIC and the Doyenne Group, as well as $20,000 from A Fund for Women.
