Edgewood College will host its inaugural pitch competition 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 3 at the Anderson Auditorium, the organization announced recently.
According to a release, seven students have been selected to present at the public event, which will be a part of the 15th Annual Edgewood Engaged, an annual college-wide celebration of undergraduate research and academic engagement.
“This opportunity encourages students to create their own career opportunities out of personal interests and innovation,” Edgewood College Associate Dean of Undergraduate Affairs Victoria Palmisano said in a statement. “In the heat of competition, they’ll learn what makes for a compelling pitch, and they’ll get valuable feedback from professionals to help move the project forward.”
Judges of the event include representatives from United Way of Dane County, Associated Bank and gBETA.
