Jack Salzwedel, the chief executive officer and president of American Family Insurance, will be a keynote speaker at the annual Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium, taking place Nov. 16-17 at the Monona Terrace, the Wisconsin Technology Council announced recently.
“We’re excited to have ‘@AmFamJack,’ as he’s known on Twitter, speak to this year’s Early Stage Symposium,” Wisconsin Technology Council President Tom Still said in a statement. “Jack Salzwedel is one of the nation’s leading CEOs when it comes to understanding how the early stage economy intersects with all business sectors.”
Salzwedel, a native of DeForest, Wis., will speak about how American Family Insurance is investing in the growth of the state, community and the company itself.
The Tech Council also announce that the conference will debut a speed-dating segment, dubbed “Investor Intros,” which will allow entrepreneurs to introduce themselves and their ideas to investors during a five- to seven-minute pitch.
The two-day conference will center on “The Changing Faces of Early Stage Investing.”
