The Fishidy team is taking a trip to Silicon Valley.
That was the prize for winning the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce’s Pressure Chamber competition, which saw six startups that have raised at least $25,000 pitch their businesses to a panel of judges and a live audience Tuesday at the Alliant Energy Center’s Exhibition Hall.
“I love this community, and I love the underdog mentality of the entrepreneurs here,” Brian Jensen, president of Fishidy, said in a statement. “I am excited to head to California and pitch our company to the venture capitalists and shed more exposure on Wisconsin.”
Jensen, along with a delegation from Madison, will meet with several Silicon Valley venture capital firms, including Emergence Capital Partners, this summer.
GoStrive, Intuitive Biosciences, murfie, OpenHomes and Thalchemy also participated in the contest. All entrants were first screened before the six finalists were decided.
Pressure Chamber was a part of the Chamber’s revamped annual expo, now dubbed neXXpo.
