Where else to launch your software startup for the food and beverage industry than the annual Wisconsin Restaurant Association expo?
Forkforce is a SaaS that was created to ease the the hiring process for employers and job seekers. Co-Founders Sajan Thandaserry and Carlos Landeau conceived the idea about three years ago.
Since then, CEO Mike Wagner has been busy getting the word out, fundraising and setting up strategic partnerships, like he did this week.
“We launched at that show since it is our industry and to create brand awareness in Wisconsin first since (Forkforce was) built here,” Wagner, who joined the company in August, said. “(I also wanted to) ensure we are keeping our product in accordance to the market’s wants and needs surrounding the problem of finding, connecting and communicating with potential hires.”
Job seekers can create a profile on Forkforce to apply to and get notified of job openings, while employers can post openings, manage the hiring process online and search and view applicant profiles.
Current employers include The Coopers Tavern and DLUX.
“Since Forkforce is free for job seekers, and we have a free starter package for employers, our goal now is to gain users that adds value to the entire ecosystem in these early days,” Wagner said.
