Four University of Wisconsin innovators and alumni who advanced the Wisconsin Idea through their accomplishments in entrepreneurship earned the Chancellor’s Entrepreneurial Achievement Award at a ceremony held Wednesday night at the Discovery Building.
The awardees were Lynn Allen-Hoffmann, founder, CSO and CEO (retired) of Stratatech Corporation; Jim Bakke, president and CEO of Sub-Zero Group, Inc.; Valarie King-Bailey, founder and CEO of OnShore Technology Group; and Scott Resnick, COO of Hardin Design & Development.
“UW–Madison’s vibrant culture encourages innovation among faculty, staff, students, and alumni,” Chancellor Rebecca Blank said in a statement. “We celebrate the outstanding achievements of four UW entrepreneurs who have created incredible value in their communities and beyond. Their work is a shining example of the Wisconsin Idea.”
The Chancellor’s Entrepreneurial Achievement Award has been given out each year since April 2011, with the exceptions of 2019-21.
