SnowShoe today issued a statement indicating the upcoming Madison-area foursquare Hackathon has been postponed to Jan. 5, 2013, due to Hurricane Sandy’s impact on foursquare’s New York office.

In place of the Nov. 3 event will be a “Disaster Recovery” Hackathon, in which attendees can “build tools that help people cope with the next major hurricane/earthquake/tsunami/zombie apocalypse.” This Hackathon will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at SnowShoe’s office, 640 W. Washington Ave. Suite 201.
