Foursquare’s annual hackathon, which was to take place in November but postponed due to Hurricane Sandy, has been rescheduled to Saturday, Jan. 5.
As before, SnowShoe, which develops innovative tech solutions for mobile platforms, will again be the host to area hackers beginning at 9 a.m. at 640 W. Washington Ave. Suite 201. Food, refreshments and wifi will be provided.
The hackathon serves to promote foursquare’s new Connected Apps platform, which allows third-party apps to integrate directly into foursquare.
Prizes for the apps that receive the most votes worldwide include ringing the NASDAQ closing bell and tickets to SXSW.
