This month marks gener8tor’s 10-year anniversary, the organization announced recently.
Since 2012, the company, which has programming in more than 41 communities across North America, has helped 938 startups, create more than 7,400 jobs and raised more than $1.2 billion in total funding across the country and abroad. Also, 34 of gener8tor’s gBETA and Investment Accelerator portfolio companies have gone through exits.
“We wanted to invest in people and their ideas right in our own backyard, bringing to life our region’s entrepreneurial spirit and showing the country that Wisconsin was far more than just a flyover state, but a place of ideas and innovation,” gener8tor Co-founder said Troy Vosseller said in a statement. “We built gener8tor on a core belief that entrepreneurs can build their companies no matter who they are
or where they live.”
In addition, 54% of gener8tor alumni have raised more than $1 million in follow-on financing or have been acquired, and 69% have raised more than $250,000.
Over the years, gener8tor has created a series of OnRamp conferences in agriculture, entertainment, education and healthcare, and it has launched an Accelerator Studio.
Gener8tor will host a 10-year anniversary party Thursday, Aug. 18 as part of Forward Festival.
