Gov. Scott Walker spoke about initiatives that will help ease the burden of funding startups Wednesday at the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference held at the Alliant Energy Center.
“We want to be good partners with our entrepreneurs,” Walker said. “It’s an exciting time.”
One of the new resources Walker cited is a state program that encourages angel investing by giving financial sponsors eligibility for a 25 percent tax credit on the amount they invest.
Walker also mentioned the state’s $25 million “fund of funds” and 4490 Ventures asĀ economic development tools available to support startups financially.
“The resources that have approved in the past few years are ready to be deployed,” Walker said. “Help is on the way.”
