The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation announced Thursday that is has certified GrocerKey as a Qualified New Business Venture (QNBV).
QNBV allows GrocerKey to be eligible for a state tax credit of up to $250,000 based on the amount invested in the business. This certification is meant to accelerate the company’s potential for growth and job creation in the state.
According to a release, GrocerKey is expected to create 163 jobs in the next three years through working with independent grocery stores that do not currently have online ordering services.
Almost 300 startups in Wisconsin have been QNBV certified in the past 10 years. These companies have created more than 1,000 new jobs in the state.
