Investor and educator Tim Keane will be the first to receive the “Excellence in Entrepreneurial Education” award, the Wisconsin Technology Council announced Tuesday.
According to a release, Keane was chosen because he portrays outstanding entrepreneurial teaching and mentoring skills, is an innovative teacher, promotes entrepreneurial education and provides contributions to the development of best practices in the field.
“Tim Keane’s efforts to educate entrepreneurs of all ages has included his work in the classroom but also through his hands-on mentorship of early stage companies,” Tech Council President Tom Still said in a statement. “He is a pioneer in this field in Wisconsin.”
Keane, who serves as a director of Golden Angels Investors and Marquette University, will be honored Nov. 13 at the Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium.
