Live Undiscovered Music (LUM) will make its official debut at a launch party taking place 7:30 p.m. – midnight Aug. 17 at the Monona Terrace as part of the 2018 Forward Festival, organizers announced recently.
According to the company, the iOS music streaming app focuses exclusively on up-and-coming talent to decrease the disparity in exposure between corporate music and emerging music. It was developed by a team of University of Wisconsin students and alumni.
“The LUM music streaming and stand-alone social network application focuses exclusively on emerging artist and gamifies music discovery by using fans and communities as a catalyst for ushering in a new generation of music,” LUM CEO Max Fergus said in a statement.
Currently, LUM has early access users at more than 75 universities and schools across the country.
