A study released recently by CompTIA revealed that Madison is ranked No. 14 among the top tech towns in the United States.

According to a release, CompTIA, the association that represents the international technology community, ranked 20 metropolitan areas with populations greater than 250,000 on cost of living, number of open IT positions and projected job growth over the next 12 months and the next five years.

The study stated that more than 11,000 IT jobs were posted in the Madison area in the last year, and the number could increase by nine percent over the next five years.

Charlotte, N.C., was named the nation’s top tech town.
