The community’s first chance this year to learn more about Madison’s startups will take place from noon-4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3 during the third annual Madison Startup Fair at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, organizers announced recently.
“The event has grown in the number of startups attending and students attending over the years,” Event Organizer Forrest Woolworth said. “We’re excited to increase the reach of the event on the UW campus and continue to raise awareness of Madison startups.”
In addition to being a startup showcase, the Madison Startup Fair also targets students interested in technology and entrepreneurship who can chat with startup founders and employees about their experiences.
Startups already signed up to participate include Fishidy, OpenHomes and SmartUQ.
According to Woolworth, the Advocacy Consortium for Entrepreneurs (ACE), UW Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic, UW Office of Corporate Relations and the University Research Park have joined Capital Entrepreneurs as collaborators of the free event.
