The Wisconsin Technology Council will induct Mark Bakken into its George Mosher Memorial Investor Hall of Fame during the Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium taking place Nov. 13-14 at the Monona Terrace.
According to a release, the Investor Hall of Fame was created to highlight the importance of angel and venture investors to the early-stage economy.
“Mark Bakken and his team have built HealthX into one of Wisconsin’s most successful venture capital firms, in part because his background as an entrepreneur taught him what other promising companies need,” Tech Council President Tom Still said in a statement. “Bakken has consistently stepped forward to invest in and otherwise help young companies and entrepreneurs.”
Bakken has collectively raised more than $1.1 billion in venture capital at Nordic Consulting Partners and Goliath Networks. He is also a founder of HealthX Ventures, which boasts a portfolio of nearly three dozen companies.
Andy Nunemaker, CEO of Groupware Technologies, was inducted in 2023.
