Philanthropic group 100+ Women Who Care of Madison announced recently that it has awarded Maydm its first quarter Impact Award and $15,000.
“This money will allow girls from Mendota Community School to unlock their hidden genius by providing them the opportunity to delve into the world of creativity and technology in our upcoming machine learning summer program,” Maydm Founder Winnie Karanja said in a statement. “They will be able to program robots to perform behavioral tasks and learn about the intersections of artificial intelligence and medicine, such as that in diagnostic error detection.”
Launched in 2014, 100+ Women Who Care is a charitable organization whose mission is to support non-profit organizations who serve Dane County citizens.
Past winners of the Impact Awards include River Food Pantry and Gio’s Garden.
