Maydm was awarded $3,000 after Forward Community Investments (FCI) selected it as its Game Changer Grant awardee for May, the organization announced recently.

“Our community is seeing rapid growth in the tech industry,” Maydm’s Community and Programs Liaison Valera Martinez said in a statement. “In 2015, our state only graduated 900 students prepared to fill over 8,000 jobs that were available in the tech industry here in Wisconsin, which is a challenge and opportunity.”

According to a release, the funds will expand Maydm’s three-week program to eight weeks. Maydm created a video and a short form as part of the application process.

The FCI grants are intended to provide opportunities for small or startup programs or initiatives that are aligned with the mission and vision of FCI.
